The Faculty of Geography was formed on the basis of the Faculty of Natural Geography in 1975 and is the oldest faculty of Kadyrov Chechen State University.
The mission of the Faculty of Geography and Geoecology: the creation of a modern scientific and educational structural unit of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education (FSBEI of HE) Kadyrov Chechen State University, which continuously builds up and effectively uses its potential, attracting talented young people, teaching them project thinking and the ability to work professionally in a rapidly changing environment; participation in the implementation of federal and regional research projects aimed at solving significant scientific and applied national economic problems. In order to implement the Development Program of the FSBEI of HE Kadyrov Chechen State University for 2021-2030, within the framework of the program of strategic academic leadership "Priority-2030", the Faculty of Geography and Geoecology is implementing a strategic project "Development of technologies that ensure the implementation of climate projects in the Chechen Republic and the North Caucasus Federal District and the achievement of carbon neutrality in the region."

In search of unknown lakes
